Northfield Park director of Racing Gregg Keidel has announced the tracks 2009 stakes schedule and it looks much different than it has in recent years.
The $125,000 (estimated) Courageous Lady for three-year-old pacing fillies kicks things off on the Saturday of Memorial Weekend, May 23.
The $100,000 Battle of Lake Erie Pace returns to a prime summer date, Saturday, June 27, and the $180,000 Cleveland Classic, for three-year-old pacing colts, is Saturday, November 28.
Northfield hosts Ohio Super Night in 2009, with eight Ohio Sires Stakes finals and the $200,000 Scarlet and Gray Stakes for veteran pacers on tap Saturday, September 5, Labour Day weekend.
