"There should be a federal investigation if my mare wins. Honestly, it's nice to be considered in the company of [Dreamfair Eternal]; she's very impressive and she deserves to be where she's at."

Trainer Travis Umphrey is today's Trot Radio guest, and his attitude heading into Saturday night's O'Brien Awards ceremony is surprisingly upbeat knowing that he's once again heading up against a mare that his stable star APs Money Maker faced countless times this past season, Dreamfair Eternal. Despite knowing the odds are stacked against him, Umphrey is honoured to be nominated and will enjoy the night.

"I've never been and I've always wanted to go...living out West it was always tougher to get to the O'Briens and since I'm here it's nice to be a part of it."

Trot Radio's Norm Borg and Umphrey discuss the stable's turn-around in 2010, the prognosis for stars APs Money Maker and pacing filly Monkey On My Wheel in 2011, whether he feels the O'Briens are too Ontario-centric, and his thoughts on the new harness racing and hotel project discussed by the Old Agricultural Society.
