Royal Dream and owner-breeder Jean Phillipe Dubois captured the 2013 Prix d'Amerique defeating two-time defending champion Ready Cash and Franck Nivard on Sunday afternoon at Paris-Vincennes, France.

Ready Cash emerged from the field of 18 to take the lead with less than 1,000 metres to go, but Royal Dream tipped off his back down the stretch and swept by to win the 2,700 metre classic by two lengths. The eight-year-old Love You stallion matched the race record of 1:55.4 (mile record). Ready Cash stayed for second with Main Wise AS and Pierre Levesque rounding out the top three finishers.

Celebrating his first victory in the Prix d'Amerique, Dubois joined his father Jean Pierre Dubois and brother Jean Etienne Dubois as winners of the prestigious event.
