Out-Of-Competition Testing In Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission announced today that out-of-competition testing will begin in the Keystone State starting October 1 and is directed at all horses entered to race at the Meadows.

"This is a joint effort among the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission, the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association, and the Meadows as track operators," said Anton J. Leppler, director of Harness Racing for the state Racing Commissions.

"This is part of a serious integrity program that will raise the bar for testing and which will level the playing field immensely. Pennsylvania continues to be among the leaders in harness racing, and the introduction of this program is another sign of that leadership."
