Lebanon Raceway co-owner Keith Nixon Jr. has gone on the record in regard to the possibility of increased competition for the Ohio racetrack. Nixon's remarks have come after Penn National Gaming, Inc. announced that it is planning on relocating its Raceway Park to Dayton

January 12, 2012:

It has been reported that a lawsuit was filed last month in regard to the December 2009 backstretch fire at Ohio's Lebanon Raceway which led to the death of two grooms and 43 standardbred racehorses

While one item that retail giant Wal-Mart doesn't sell (for the moment) is harness horses, people may have started to wonder after a horse was found outside one of the stores

Dan Noble, who won more races than any other harness driver in North America in 2011, has been voted the “Winner's Circle Award” winner for his accomplishments in the sulky last season

The owners of Lebanon Raceway are considering purchasing state-owned land to build a race track and casino facility just outside of Monroe, Ohio.
